Cattlestop's CaRMA Mobile system manages rich content for PocketPC PDAs and delivers it via WiFi, cellular GSM, or CDMA connections.

The KwikTAP PocketPC application enables the user to browse, search, filter and interact with the content whether connected or not to the CaRMA Mobile server.

It uniquely offers filtering and targeted content delivery not available via web browser solutions.

The System

CaRMA Mobile handles everything to do with the management of targeted mobile content and the operation of a suite of rented PocketPCs.

Its features include:

• content editor tool, with content provided by many organisations
• options for data import, RSS feed etc
• subscription channels to manage groups of content
• delivery of content via 'push' to PocketPCs
• can target content delivery to selected users
• very detailed usage demographics
• application for managing rental of PocketPCs

On the PocketPC, the KwikTAP custom application allows the user to:

• browse content based on preferences
• filter out content categories
• automatically receive updates with no manual refresh
• search the onboard database
• operate in a 'not-connected' state, so user can still see all content even when the server is unavailable
• place calls to listed items such as hotels, vehicle hire etc.

Who you are

CaRMA Mobile manages a one to one relationship with each PocketPC handset. All handsets can be controlled by CaRMA Mobile (updated, turned off, located etc).

Where you are

Can use manual or map based location selection, as well as GPS or cellular location based services (LBS) where available or when built into the device.

What you want to see

This permits the user to filter information on their handset in order to suit their own requirements. All content is context searchable via a user friendly search capability.
